What happens when the electricity disappear
The modern society depends on communication. Without power the newspaper presses stop. Large TV stations and radio stations have emergency power plants and are able to broadcast, but can we receive? The radio might work if it runs on batteries. And what about the phone?
The light disappear, the fridge and freezer stops, and it is no longer possible to use stationary computers, to surf the internet or watch TV. You will have to stay cosy with books and card games by candlelight. The waterworks will no longer provide water for the distribution system.
Hospitals, larger animal based farms, the Danish railway system, Denmark’s Radio (DR), the Danish Parliament and other companies and organisations who cannot function without power have emergency power systems installed.
Then the power is cut, the Metro, Subway and all electric trains stop, all the signals and traffic controls will work the first hours on emergency power.
