The Thomas B. Thrige Lab is a historical science centre, where young and elder can go exploring. You may step into the footpath of the scientist of the 1600 to 1900. In this period many basic discoveries and inventions were made. Explore activities with magnetism and static electricity, test ‘The electric kiss’ or catch a lightning. Discover the battery and repeat the discoveries of Hans Christian Ørsted.

The exhibition (gallery) has its name from Thomas B. Thrige (1886 -1938) a Danish engineer, who went to the United States in 1888. He worked for the great inventor Thomas A. Edison. After five years he returned to Odense starting experimenting with the new technology of electricity. He started his own company and during the years his company developed into the largest Danish company within electro technique.
